This update contains improvements making it faster to apply adhoc charges, plus, a brand new Barcode Scan Tester tool.

Adhoc Charge Improvements

When applying Adhoc Charges in Picking and Pick to Tote, we’ve massively reduced the number of taps required. Now, when tapping into an adhoc charge field, you no longer need to delete the old value, you can immediately enter the new value. Additionally, it now displays a numeric keypad rather than the text keyboard - further reducing taps - special thanks for Motive 3PL for pointing this out on our recent visit.

Barcode Scan Tester

Scanning devices can be configured in a multitude of different ways depending on the hardware manufacturer and model, and it can be challenging to determine exactly what the CartonCloud app is receiving from the scanner.

To assist with this, we’ve added a brand new Barcode Scan Tester tool to the mobile app (accessible from the bottom of the Settings screen). The new screen allows you to tell exactly what the scanner is providing to the mobile app, including any unprintable characters such as CR/LF and <GS> separators contained within some SSCC barcodes.
