Advanced Backordering: Smarter Backorder Management & Stock Allocation

We’re excited to introduce Advanced Backordering, a powerful enhancement to CartonCloud’s Backorder Management workflows. It provides greater automation and smarter control over stock allocation and order splitting, helping you manage order fragmentation and stock allocation more efficiently.

What’s New?

• Intelligent Order Splitting - new option to split orders only if all stock is not due to arrive within [X] days

  • Avoid splitting orders when stock is due soon. CartonCloud will avoid the automatic splitting of Sales Orders if the missing stock is expected within a set number of days.

• Smarter Stock Allocation - new settings to control when stock is allocated to orders 

  • Only allocate if all stock is available or expected soon. Control when stock is allocated to backorders:

    • Allocate only when the full order can be fulfilled, or

    • Allocate only if the remaining stock is due within a defined timeframe.
