Major Product Update: Consignment Item Level Scanning & POD V2 are Coming Next Week!

We're excited to share some significant news: Consignment Item-Level Labels, Item Scanning at Delivery, and Proof Of Delivery (POD) V2 are coming first week of Dec!

These are the most substantial enhancement to our Transport Management System since the introduction of consignment items, and it marks the beginning of a new chapter of innovation for our TMS.

Item Scanning at the point of Delivery

We’ve built a fluid, intuitive interface that enables ridiculously fast barcode scanning using the phone’s built-in camera. Just wave the phone over your boxes and it will automatically scan any barcode it detects, including 1D barcodes and QR codes.

What’s available on launch:

  • Item-Level Label Generation – New label templates that can print directly to ZPL printers or export to PDF, with automatic label numbering and additional item-level placeholders.

  • Mobile Item Scanning at the point of delivery – Drivers can scan item barcodes using their device camera in real-time within the POD screen, waving over multiple barcodes for quick capture

  • Scan History Visibility – Complete scan history now visible on each consignment in a dedicated tab

  • Flexible Configuration – New "Split by Field" settings let you automatically generate the correct number of labels based on quantity or pallets

  • Gradual Rollout Support – You’ll have the ability to enable Item-Level Labels when it suits you. This feature can be turned on/off from the Organisation Settings. Drivers are not forced to scan items, allowing you to implement at your own pace while maintaining existing processes

Plus…. Proof Of Delivery V2 - More, Higher Resolution Photos and Video

We’ve expanded our Proof of Delivery (POD) capabilities. With Advanced Documents (available for free to all customers until April 2026) you’ll be able to capture up to 100 full-resolution photos and record videos when recording a POD.

These improvements make it easier for transport and warehouse teams to capture and share detailed delivery evidence, especially for fragile or high-value goods.

Key Benefits:

  • Capture up to 100 full-resolution photos and videos (Advanced Documents)

  • Faster image capture (Multi-photo mode, Advanced Documents)

  • Option to require at least one image per POD

  • Ability to submit photos and videos without submitting a POD, useful when loading vehicles

  • Improved offline functionality for drivers

  • Better visibility and record-keeping for customers and admins

Note: POD V2 works with or without item-level scanning. It can be turned on/off independently. Drivers will require mobile app v6.35.0 or higher.
