Enhanced Mobile Login: Intuitive Region Selector for Users in Multiple Regions

Mobile login is now smarter and more intuitive! The app now automatically selects the correct region during login and shows the region switcher upfront. Previously, the region selector was hidden, which led to login confusion and incorrect “Username/Password” errors for some users, particularly in North America.

What’s New

• Always-visible Region Selector:
  The region selector now displays on the login screen by default.
  (The five-tap gesture now hides the selector and displays the base URL - retained for advanced users and support debugging.)

Open

• Smart Region Defaults:

  • If you’ve logged in before, the app remembers your last region.

  • On first install, the app automatically selects a region based on your phone’s system region (not GPS).

    • Phones set to the Americas → default to North America

    • All others → default to Asia Pacific

• Automatic Region Retry:
  If login fails due to an incorrect region, the app automatically retries the other region once.
  If successful, it switches to that region and remembers it for next time.
