Auto-Fix Address Data

Auto-Fix Address Data

We've added a new Auto-Fix Address Data setting that automatically corrects suburb, city, state, and postcode fields on an address when they don't match the result returned by Google's geocoding service. When CartonCloud geocodes an address, it now compares the existing field values against the verified geocoded data and updates any discrepancies automatically — so your address records stay clean and consistent without manual intervention.

This is particularly valuable for customers using Carrier Integrations, where accurate address data is critical for successful shipment bookings with connected carriers such as Shippit. Incorrect or mismatched suburb, city, or postcode values can cause bookings to be rejected — auto-fix helps prevent those failures at the source.

Every automatic correction is recorded in the address history, showing exactly which fields were changed and indicating that the update was made automatically — giving you a full audit trail.

To enable this feature, go to Organisation Settings → Features and Options and turn on the new setting. The setting is disabled by default on all existing tenancies and applies at the organisation level only.
