Fuel Levy Charges Now Recorded as Individual Line Items

Fuel Levy Charges Now Recorded as Individual Line Items

To support the recent release of Cost+Margin Billing, we’ve improved the way in which Fuel Levy charges are recorded.

Rather than only appearing via invoice totals, Fuel levy charges are now recorded as an individual charge line item. Each fuel levy line appears directly underneath the charge it relates to, using the same familiar description you already see today (for example, "Fuel Levy at 17% = $1.70 [total: $11.70]"), so there's no change to how your invoices read.

You can also now create Fuel Levy charges directly, untethered to an existing charge.

Because fuel levy is now a genuine charge in the system, it's also included when you run a Bulk Charges report, and within the BI tool — giving you clearer visibility into fuel levy revenue across your business, alongside your other charge data.

Note: This update is being applied progressively across CartonCloud accounts and applies to fuel levy charges created from now on. Pre-existing charges will not be backfilled with Fuel Levy charge lines. If you would like this enabled on your account now, please let us know.
