We’ve introduced History logs to our Wave Pick functionality, bringing even greater visibility to your operations. These logs provide detailed records of key events, including when a Wave Pick is Created, when Sale Orders are Added or Removed, any changes made to the Wave Pick, and when the Wave Pick has been Completed.

As we gear up for our release of Pick to Tote next quarter, we have released another enhancement aimed at improving the efficiency and flexibility of the Wave Pick functionality for customer-type wave picks.

New Filtering Options:

To help you streamline your wave-picking process, we’ve introduced several new filters, allowing you to fine-tune your selections more effectively:

  • Expected Delivery Run: Narrow down picks based on specific delivery run schedules, ensuring more precise planning.

  • SKU Count: Filter by the number of SKUs on an order, offering greater control over picking efficiency.

  • Quantity Count: Focus on orders with specific quantity ranges, enhancing your ability to meet picking requirements.

UI Enhancements:

Along with these new filters, we’ve made some functional updates to the user interface. This redesign not only improves the overall user experience but also optimizes the layout to accommodate additional filtering options in future releases. This ensures that as we continue to expand functionality, you’ll have easy access to even more tools that make your workflow smoother.

Scan Order / Tote Page

As a precursor to our upcoming Web-app Pack Screen, which is being designed from the ground up to be compatible with our soon to be released Pick to Tote workflow, allowing scan-packing, scanning of consumables and carrier selection, we’ve introduced a new page named “Scan Order / Tote” which can be used to scan the barcodes from Sale Order Picklists (which is the Sale Order ID, eg: 23078), and, once released, the Tote Barcode used within a Pick to Tote Wave Pick.

You can find the new screen under the Warehouse menu:

And, once there, you can scan the Sale Order / Tote Barcode:

After scanning the Sale Order Barcode or Tote Barcode, a new tab will open into the Pack List screen to complete packing.

Please note that orders must be in “Packing in Progress” status.

As we gear up for our release of Pick to Tote next quarter, today we’ve released the ability to filter Sale Orders by particular Product SKUs when creating Wave Picks.

The additional product filter is available in either the new “Multiple Customer” mode, or the existing “Single Customer” mode.

Filtering by product allows the creation of wave picks containing orders that have the same products, maximising picking efficiency.

Plus, we have plenty more Wave Pick improvements coming over the next month.

We have just upgraded the functionality in our CartonCloud x Zapier Connector, giving those customers that have built their own integrations more flexibility for their workflows. We have updated the following two tasks in Zapier:

Creating a Consignment: We have added the ability to select the warehouse that you want the consignment created in. This ensures that our multi-warehouse customers can use a Zapier workflow to achieve automation across their CartonCloud platform.

Creating a Sale Order: When creating an outbound order, you can now specify whether the order will be delivered to or picked up by the customer. This added flexibility allows you to better plan your shipping operations and ensure warehouse operators can process the order into the right workflow.

When updating or creating a new integration in Zapier, you will be prompted to upgrade to the our latest version of the CartonCloud app so you can have access to these new features.

Today we’re introducing two improvements to Wave Picking. These are the first of many Wave Pick Improvements coming over the next few weeks as we gear up for Pick to Tote. If you would like to join our Beta Group for either Wave Pick Improvements or Pick to Tote, please let us know.

Multi-Customer Wave Picks

To make it faster and easier to process Sale Orders, we’ve made it possible to create Wave Picks which span multiple customers’ Sale Orders.

When creating a Wave Pick, you can now select “Multiple Customers” from the customer-selection drop down, and see orders across all customers, which can then be grouped together into a single wave.

Persisting Wave Picks after Completion

To provide better visibility over historical operations, wave picks are no longer deleted after they have been completed. From the Wave Pick list screen, there are now two tabs, “In Progress” and “Completed”. Completed waves can be opened for viewing.

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is now available within CartonCloud!

MFA increases log-in security for your account, by enhancing your account security and protection. All CartonCloud users can now set up and use MFA through both the web and mobile apps (v6.0.0+) to protect their own accounts. (Learn how here).

Plus, to make it faster and easier to login to CartonCloud, we’ve improved our mobile app support for password managers with direct support for your password manager of choice. We support 3rd party password managers (eg. Bitwarden Lastpass etc), and also those included on the devices such as “Passwords” on iOS and “Google Password Manager” and Android.

Additionally, we’ll soon be releasing Enterprise Security (add-on / available in some plans). This provides even more account security by allowing account admins to setup MFA requirements within their account. This includes the ability to enfore Mandatory MFA for specific user roles, meaning (for example) organisations can require MFA for all administrators and packers, but leave it optional for drivers and customers.

In Mobile Apps v5.5.0, we’ve improved the UI to make those coming from “Picking (Legacy)” feel more at home, giving you greater speed, powerful functionality, and ease of use.

The main improvements include:

  • Responsive sizing to better support devices with smaller screens.

  • More colour added (matching colours used in Legacy)

  • Better layout for the orders list, reducing the height of the order cards to make it display much better on smaller devices.

Additionally, we’ve renamed “Picking 2.0” to “Picking”, and what used to be called “Picking” is now called “Picking (Legacy)”.

We've made improvements to the Delivery Runs Consignment view page to help you plan more efficiently.

  • New Service Type Column: This additional column provides clearer details about the type of service for each consignment, enhancing your planning process.

  • Ref Column Upgrade: The Ref column now displays the Run Sheet name in addition to the ID, giving you more context and easier identification of Run Sheets.

These enhancements are designed to streamline your workflow and provide you with more valuable information at your fingertips.

We've enhanced the Bulk Export Charges report with two new columns to give you greater flexibility in data processing.

The new columns that you are able to view are:

Warehouse Name Column

This column lets you quickly identify which warehouse a charge was generated in, giving you more even more granularity when looking at this report

Activity Date Column

When running the report by activity date, you are now able to see the date that activity occurred. The activity date refers to the the date an activity took place, which includes:

  • Sale Order: Date & Time the date the order was packed.

  • Consignments: Date & Time the date the consignment was delivered.

  • Purchase Order: Date & Time the date the purchase order was allocated.

  • Run Sheet: Date the delivery date for the run sheet.

  • Manifests: Date & Time the date the manifest was added.

  • Storage Period: Date range for the charge.

We have now made it easier for you to spot when there is a newer version of our mobile app available for your devices. When you log into the CartonCloud mobile app, under the menu, you will be able to see whether your App is up to date, or whether we have a New Version available for you to install. You can also find this information in the setting menus of the App.

We have added a new ‘Add Charge’ button to our Adhoc Charges on Rate Cards, making it faster to create new charges right from your rate card. 

The new button to add adhoc charges is available for Sale Order, Purchase Order, Consignment and Run Sheet charges.

CartonCloud’s login screen is getting a fresh, new look!

‍This change is part of a larger update to improve the security of our users through the introduction of Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) capability within CartonCloud. 

You can now enable Enterprise SSO for users in your organisation. This feature is available as a paid add-on or included in some plans. For more information, or to begin using Enterprise SSO please reach out to us.

MFA is scheduled to be available next month, and at that time these new login screens will become the default. Users can then set up and use MFA to protect their own accounts, and account admins will also have the ability to make MFA mandatory, significantly increasing the security of their whole organization. Additionally, mandatory MFA will be able to be toggled on or off for specific user roles, meaning organisations can require MFA for all administrators and packers, but leave it optional for drivers and customers.

In mobile apps v5.1.0, we’ve added two key enhancements to the Picking 2.0 mode:

  • Revert Sales Order Status: Users can now revert a Sales Order's status from "Packing in Progress" back to "Awaiting Pick and Pack" and unassign it from the picker. This allows greater flexibility in managing orders that need to be updated or corrected after packing has started.

  • Search Packed/Dispatched Orders: You can now search for packed or dispatched orders directly within Picking 2.0, allowing users to double-check order details and ensure accuracy. Users can also print labels and submit ad-hoc charges for those orders, enhancing operational efficiency and improving order visibility.

These updates aim to streamline your order management process and provide more control over your order statuses and search capabilities.

Being able to filter data by specific criteria is important! To help facilitate this, we have added more filtering options to our Bulk Export Charges Report.

Users are now able to process this report based on additional criteria with the new Activity Date Filter. This filter will allow you to select from the following options:

  • Date Packed for Sale Orders

  • Date Delivered for Consignments

  • Date Allocated for Purchase Orders

  • Date Delivered for RunSheets

  • Date Added for Manifests

This means you are able to see your Bulk Charges based on the date an activity took place, giving you additional flexibility with your data.
