New Wave Pick Filter Tab

To support the recent updates to our Wave Picking abilities, a new Filter tab is now available on the Wave Pick List screen for both Admin and Packer roles. By default, this tab will be selected when first navigating to the Wave Pick screen. All filters will default to include all results, ensuring comprehensive visibility upon initial access.

Users can now filter Wave Picks based on the following criteria:

  • Customer Name

  • Wave Pick Status

  • Wave Pick Type

  • Wave Pick Process Type

  • Date Added

  • Date Completed

The filtering mechanism has been designed to ensure the results accurately reflect the selected criteria.

The Reset button has been added to allow users to quickly revert all filters back to their default state.

We have also implemented some table enhancements to improve readability and functionality:

  • The Date Completed column has been added.

  • The Type field has been split into separate columns for Customer/Run Sheet Type and Process Type, ensuring clarity.

  • A Details column has been added.

All of these table columns, except for Progress and Select, are now sortable, allowing for better organization and quicker access to desired wave picks.

Today we’re excited to announce the release of our most highly voted ideas portal idea, Photos and Documents on Purchase Orders!

We’re progressively rolling this out across all CartonCloud accounts this week. To ensure you’re able to access this, please update your mobile app to version 6.4.0 or higher.

Photos and Documents on Purchase Orders allows you to provide photographic and video evidence of the way in which stock was received into your warehouse, and (optionally) share this with your customers. Additionally, you can store information for internal-only purposes, such as photographs of Chep dockets, receival paperwork, or other files.

Within Purchase Orders, you’ll find a new Documents tab. Each Purchase Order can contain multiple Documents, and each document can contain up to 100* attachments (Photos, Videos**, PDFs etc).

Documents can be configured to be either visible to customers, or only visible to internal users and can be created from either the mobile app or the web app.

Documents which are shared with customers are visible to them via the web portal, and also mentioned in Purchase Order Verified and Allocated email notifications.

*Photos and Documents on Purchase Orders is available in two tiers, Essentials and Advanced. Advanced Documents provides additional capabilities such as multi-photo and video support, support for larger files, and increases the per-document attachment limit from 6 to 100. Advanced Documents is available through Warehouse Premium, and is being provided free to all CartonCloud customers until June-30 2025. For more information on the differences between Essentials and Advanced Documents, please checkout our Knowledge base Article.

**Video support is expected to be available in mobile app version 6.5.0 which we anticipate being released on October 8th.

We’d love to hear your feedback on this feature, so please let us know.

Today we’ve added Internal and External References to Invoices, making these fields more easily visible, and also searchable and filterable.

image-20240925-053648.png

Previously, the Internal Reference (eg: W.E 07/09/2024 (CartonCloud:23213)) was used under the hood for providing a reference to Accounting Connectors (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks), but it was not easily visible from within CartonCloud.

Similarly, the External Reference (invoice number from Accounting system, eg: INV-10423) was stored within CartonCloud, but was not easily visible and required going into the invoice in order to find.

Now, these fields are directly visible on the Invoices List screen. They can also be used in filters and searched for directly on the page, making it much easier to find specific invoices.

This enhancement was suggested to us through our ideas portal.

We’ve introduced History logs to our Wave Pick functionality, bringing even greater visibility to your operations. These logs provide detailed records of key events, including when a Wave Pick is Created, when Sale Orders are Added or Removed, any changes made to the Wave Pick, and when the Wave Pick has been Completed.

Key Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Tracking: Stay informed of every key action taken on your Wave Picks.

  • Direct Access: Convenient links to the Sale Orders within the history log allow for easy, direct access, enabling you to quickly drill down for further information when needed.

This release ensures you have full transparency and control over your Wave Pick process, making it easier to monitor and manage your operations.

As we gear up for our release of Pick to Tote next quarter, we have released another enhancement aimed at improving the efficiency and flexibility of the Wave Pick functionality for customer-type wave picks.

New Filtering Options:

To help you streamline your wave-picking process, we’ve introduced several new filters, allowing you to fine-tune your selections more effectively:

  • Expected Delivery Run: Narrow down picks based on specific delivery run schedules, ensuring more precise planning.

  • SKU Count: Filter by the number of SKUs on an order, offering greater control over picking efficiency.

  • Quantity Count: Focus on orders with specific quantity ranges, enhancing your ability to meet picking requirements.

UI Enhancements:

Along with these new filters, we’ve made some functional updates to the user interface. This redesign not only improves the overall user experience but also optimizes the layout to accommodate additional filtering options in future releases. This ensures that as we continue to expand functionality, you’ll have easy access to even more tools that make your workflow smoother.

Scan Order / Tote Page

As a precursor to our upcoming Web-app Pack Screen, which is being designed from the ground up to be compatible with our soon to be released Pick to Tote workflow, allowing scan-packing, scanning of consumables and carrier selection, we’ve introduced a new page named “Scan Order / Tote” which can be used to scan the barcodes from Sale Order Picklists (which is the Sale Order ID, eg: 23078), and, once released, the Tote Barcode used within a Pick to Tote Wave Pick.

You can find the new screen under the Warehouse menu:

image-20240903-041742.png

And, once there, you can scan the Sale Order / Tote Barcode:

image-20240903-041819.png

After scanning the Sale Order Barcode or Tote Barcode, a new tab will open into the Pack List screen to complete packing.

Please note that orders must be in “Packing in Progress” status.
